Every Minute, Every Day: Ellie Ment Was Both Read and Heard Around the Clock from January to July 2026

From New Year’s Day to the end of July 2026, 212 days passed.
That is 5,088 hours—or 305,280 minutes.
New data from Amazon shows that The Clean Planet Foundation's Ellie Ment recorded enough digital reading and audiobook listening to cover every one of those minutes. For each format.
Kindle Unlimited activity alone equates to someone reading Ellie Ment continuously throughout the seven-month period. Audible listening alone equates to someone listening continuously over exactly the same period.
Put simply, averaged across the first seven months of 2026, every minute of every day had someone both reading Ellie Ment—and someone else listening to it.
Day and night. Weekdays and weekends. For 212 days (and counting!)
The figures only include Kindle Unlimited and Audible. They do not count the countless hours spent reading printed copies at home, in schools, through reading clubs, in libraries or other audiobook platforms.
A Growing Science-Led Success Story

The milestone adds to an extraordinary first year for Ellie Ment.
Since its launch in June 2025, Ellie Ment has reached number one on Amazon in both the United States and the United Kingdom, been adopted by schools and reading programmes, and received two Kirkus Reviews’ coveted “Get It” recommendations. It has over 1,000 5* or 4* star reviews across all Amazon platforms!
The first book subsequently won the top honour at the 2025 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, recognising its combination of imaginative storytelling, real science and environmental purpose.
In June 2026, the Ellie Ment series became the only children’s or young-adult title recognised in the Best Fiction Series category at the 30th Independent Publisher Book Awards.
The series has also welcomed Vicky Holmes—co-creator of the global Warrior Cats phenomenon—as developmental and copy editor, while Jennifer Saunders brought Ellie’s first adventure to life for audiobook listeners.
The Next Chapter
The journey continues in Winter 2026, with the release of the audiobook of Book Two, Ellie Ment and the Passage to Glenmorgan.
The Clean Planet Foundation created Ellie Ment to show young people that science can be every bit as thrilling as magic, and that understanding the world is the first step towards changing it.
Now, minute by minute, young readers and listeners are proving just how far that mission can travel.
