As part of Clean Planet Energy's planning submission for the proposed Clean Planet Energy ecoPlant at Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park, a new online FAQ and information hub has been launched designed to give local residents clear, accessible answers about the facility.

The Sleaford ecoPlant would convert up to 25,000 tonnes of hard-to-recycle waste plastics each year into certified circular feedstocks—materials that replace fossil oils in the creation of new plastics. Instead of being landfilled, burned or exported, these plastics are returned to the circular economy.

Independent assessments, including the EU Article 9 Taxonomy review, confirm the process delivers significant environmental benefits, including reduced emissions and the diversion of waste away from incineration and landfill.

Clean Planet Energy's goal has always been openness and clarity. With the planning submission now live, this new FAQ brings together verified information from the Environmental Statement, technical assessments, and supporting documentation. Topics include how the technology works, what the facility produces, environmental safeguards, emissions monitoring, traffic and noise impacts, safety systems, and the circular-economy benefits for the region.

To support even more accessible engagement, Clean Planet Energy has also introduced an AI-powered chat tool trained on the planning documents. It allows visitors to explore questions in a conversational way. As AI may sometimes make mistakes, every official answer is also clearly published in the Official FAQ on the same page.

Tom Field, Clean Planet Energy’s Director of Expansion and Development, welcomed the launch of the page:

“Our commitment is simple: clarity, openness, and respect for the community we hope to join. These FAQs give residents straightforward answers based on the real documents submitted. We want people to understand exactly how the ecoPlant works and the positive impact it aims to deliver for Sleaford.”

The proposed facility is expected to bring new long-term green jobs to the local area, alongside around 100 jobs during the construction phase. Located on the next development plot at Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park, the project aligns with the Council’s goals for sustainable growth, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
